Acrylic on stretched canvas framed in a beautiful natural timber frame and ready to hang.

TIMELESS
As I stand before my acrylic painting, I feel a deep connection to the ancient landscape of the Murchison region in Western Australia. The warm hues of ochre and burnt sienna swirl together, echoing the sun-soaked rocks that have stood the test of time. My brushstrokes are both bold and fluid, capturing the essence of this vast terrain—where the earth breathes stories of millennia past.

In this abstract landscape, I’ve allowed the colours to dance freely across the canvas, reflecting the shifting light of dawn and dusk that envelops the rugged hills and timeless formations. Each layer of paint embodies my personal response to this sacred land, invoking a sense of place that resonates deep within me.

I can almost feel the showers weeping over the rocks, gently tracing the contours of this ancient ground, carrying with them the echoes of ancient histories. The warm palette evokes a sense of warmth and familiarity, inviting the viewer to step into the landscape with me, to feel the weight of the rocks and the warmth of the sun on their skin. This painting is not just a depiction; it’s an homage to the enduring beauty and mystery of a land that has shaped my very soul.
